March 2020 - Welcome to the New Adventure
As the world strives to survive and figure out the new normal in the midst of facing the challenges presented to us by the COVID-19 pandemic, the congregation I serve like many other places of worship and schools and businesses has suspended gathering together in the hopes of stopping the spread of this virus. A personal response on my part is to begin exploring the potential of online ministry I hope to have in my retirement later this year. I have started a Bible Study on Facebook taking the New Testament letter to the Colossians a few verses a day. My second format will be offered here on my Faith Adventures blog offering a book study (with Bible Study as well) based on Adam Hamilton's book Unafraid.

I haven't taken time to write a spiritual blog for awhile, two years and more as you can see. But recently God is challenging me through devotions and books I am reading, to journal again, to blog again, to share my faith journey with anyone who cares to read and wrestle with the same faith questions and see where they take you.
I asked friends to share ideas of names for this blog site. While I liked Faith Adventures for the over all title, other suggestions also appealed to me. Going forward, you can see Living in Faith as one category I will use to post my thoughts on how we live out this life of faith. Another future category will be Meditations of the Heart for a more devotional section. Faith Sharing will be a future place to share your faith stories and insights. Note that all your comments and posts while welcome, will be reviewed by me, the site administrator to be sure they are healthy for sharing with the rest of our audience. Thank you!
Welcome to Faith Adventures, a place to share my thoughts on faith, my own faith journey and some teachings from my faith tradition with anyone interested enough to pause and read. I hope you are challenged to think about your own faith, and you find some faith for yourself in the midst of these posts. You are welcome to post your comments or ask your questions, but I ask that you respect each other and respect my perspective even when you don't agree. If you wish to have a private conversation on any topic, click the envelope icon in the top right corner. Thank you! and Welcome!
